Claypool is asking qualified residents of the town to submit applications for the clerk-treasurer’s job after Miccah Shepherd submitted her resignation Monday night.
Only in the position for nine months, Shepherd said she has to resign as she is moving out of the town.
Because Shepherd ran as a Libertarian to replace clerk-treasurer Arlene Leiter, who resigned the position at the end of last year, no caucus is planned.
Shepherd’s last day will be Oct. 6. Interviews will begin Oct. 15.
Applications are to be submitted to the Claypool town building, 104 W. North St.
