Ducks Unlimited Hosting Waterfowl Hunters Party
The Wawasee Ducks Unlimited chapter will host its annual Waterfowl Hunters Party on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Syracuse Community Center.
The 6 p.m. event will cost $30 for adults and $20 for kids, which includes dinner, entry into a gun raffle and a one-year subscription to Ducks Unlimited magazine. Also to be given away are dozens of duck and goose decoys, layout blinds, guns and other hunting gear to raise money for wetland conservation. Tickets for the event can be purchased from Wawasee Ducks Unlimited chapter chairman Creighton Kaiser at (574) 528-0854 or through ducks.org.
Ducks Unlimited is a national, non-profit organization that is focused on conserving and restoring wetland habitats in North America. These habitats provide a wide variety of benefits such as providing food, water and shelter to wildlife species, reducing the effects of flooding, purifying water, taking carbon out of the atmosphere, and providing recreational activity opportunities. Wawasee Ducks Unlimited is a registered chapter of Ducks Unlimited that holds yearly events in which all money raised goes toward wetland conservation.
