Triton To Honor Lindsey
The Triton athletic department and football program will honor Marcile Lindsey at its Homecoming game on Sept. 21 versus New Prairie.
Lindsey is the former leader of the Triton Football Team Mom’s group. She served for nine seasons as a football team mom before retiring last season after her final son came through the Trojans’ program. She helped coordinate team dinners, team goody bags and snacks and drinks for Triton football players and coaches for each game. She also spearheaded fundraising efforts to pay for the costs of the mom’s assistance.
“Marcile received the first ever 12th person of the year away,” said Triton football coach Rodney Younis. “She was a tremendous help. Even though she has retired, Marcile will forever be a part of the Trojan football family.”
Lindsey will receive The Trojan Way Distinguished Service Award at the Sept. 21 home game and will also conduct the honorary toin ross prior to the contest.
Triton will host New Prairie Sept. 21 with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
