Former Man Of The Year Dies
In 2011, Warren H. Tatter was named the Kosciusko County GOP Man of the Year. Today, his family and friends are coping with the loss of the man well-known for his political service and his love for the great outdoors.
Tatter passed away early Sunday morning at his home. He was 82.
Active in the Kosciusko County Republican Party, Tatter was a District 3 Kosciusko County Councilman from 1990 to 1994. He also served as a precinct committeeman for several years and as a poll worker. He was on the Oakwood Cemetery Board of Regents since 1982 and held the office of president several times during his service.
Tatter was a former member of the Chain-O-Lakes Barbershop Chorus and enjoyed shooting sports. He was an endowment life member of the National Rifle Association, a life member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and a member of the Kosko Gun Club shooting trap and skeet in the Winter League. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, gardening.
