She was born March 31, 1922, in San Atenogenes, Durango, Mexico, to Salvador Barron and Adelaida Cardiel. She resided in Pierceton, Ind., for 34 years and also is former resident of Warsaw. On Sept. 4, 1972, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Glenn O. Phillips who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Pierceton and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw.
She is survived by a daughter: Cristy Batres (Carlos), and granddaughters: Karla and Ana Batres, all of Warsaw, Ind.; a step-daughter: Hope Mock, Lexington, KY.; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Constantino Rocha officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw.
