Cancer Golf Event Fast Approaching
The annual Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund golf fundraiser is just two weeks away and still open to participants.
Registration for each team is $500 and all proceeds benefit the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund. The fund helps families dealing with cancer by helping them with financial assistance for things such as mortgage or rent, utility bills, prescriptions, insurance, food and even items such as wigs. Last year’s event raised over $20,000 for the KCCF.
The golf outing gets underway at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, with shot gun starts. Stonehenge Golf Club is again hosting the event.
This year’s event is Sept. 7 at Stonehenge Golf Club. It is open to all participants who want to support the KCCF mission statement of reducing the challenges facing cancer patients and their families by financially assisting them during their fight.
Last year 40 teams participated and the goal is to have at least 50 teams this year.
Hole-in-one sponsors are Lake Side Chevrolet, Explorer Van, Elliott’s Trailers & Carts, Warsaw Autoplex and Brandt’s Harley Davidson. Breakfast is being sponsored by Lake City Bank, and Tower Bank is the lunch sponsor.
Entry forms have already been mailed for past participants, but those same forms are available at Stonehenge Golf Shop or from any committee member. Registration is also available online at the K21 Health Foundation website.
Team entry and hole sponsorship forms also can be forwarded via email. For more information on how to participate as a hole sponsor, or as a volunteer to help keep the fund endowed, contact Ron Smock at [email protected] or 574-453-8588.
