Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Aug. 21, 3:36 p.m. David Thornburg, Warsaw, reported theft of fuel over a four month period from Murphy USA. Investigation continues.
- Aug. 21, 10:58 a.m. Stephen Vancoski, Warsaw, reported a lost wallet.
- Aug. 20, 12:00 p.m. Lindsay Ganhorn, Warsaw, reported theft of a blue purse.
- Aug. 14, 4:52 p.m. A suspect fled from Warsaw law enforcement officials in a motor vehicle.
- Aug. 20, 8:47 a.m. Terry Woodling, Warsaw, found three bicycles, 1 IV port needle, a black bra, two mechanical pencils and miscellaneous candy at Owens West in Warsaw.
- Aug 20, 10:58 p.m. A man reported shoplifting from the Walmart in Warsaw.
- Aug. 20, 2:02 p.m. Ashley Rosa, Warsaw, reported theft of a camera from her vehicle located at Lake Villa Apartments.
Accidents
- Monday, Aug. 20, 4:46 p.m. Sheridan and Grant Streets. Drivers: William Arnett, 73, Winona Lake; and Teal Chastain, 27, Warsaw. Arnett pulled out at the intersection, colliding with Chastain’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
- Monday, Aug. 20, 3:49 p.m. Market and Bronson Streets. Drivers: Darlene Sparks, 58, Pierceton; and Britani Ogan, 19, Warsaw. Sparks claims her foot slipped from the brake pedal, which caused her to rear-end Ogan’s vehicle. Damages:up to $2,500
- Friday, Aug. 17, 4:11 p.m., SR 15 South and Winona Avenue. Drivers: Henning Kemner, 44, Clayton; and Michael Cassidy, 28, Peru. Kenner, attempting to make a left turn, struck Cassidy’s vehicle with his trailor. Cassidy was in the intersection due to backed up traffic at the light. Damages: up to $10,000
- Sunday, Aug. 19, 4:20 p.m., 3100 E. Center St. Driver: Karen Rose, Silver Lake. Rose struck a support pole in the Bob Evans’ parking lot. Damages: up to $10,000.
