Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Aug. 16, 5:07 p.m., Lara Miller, Warsaw, reported seeing a theft from two vehicles. She reported seeing two men shatter the windows of the cars, break in and steal money.
- Aug. 16, 6:56 p.m., Warsaw police arrested a man in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
- Aug. 16, 10:33 p.m., Michael Greeter, Warsaw, reported a theft from his vehicle. Items stolen were electronic and digital in nature.
- Aug. 16, 1:37 a.m., Melissa Long, Warsaw, reported a theft of prescription drugs.
- Aug. 14, 5:24 p.m., a Warsaw woman reported criminal mischief to Warsaw Police, claiming that a juvenile threw a rock which caused damage to a door at Canterbury Apartment Complex.
- Aug. 14, 5:50 p.m., Rick Fuller, Warsaw, reported an attempted burglary at Fullers Small Engine Repair.
- Aug. 14, 1:08 p.m., Wyatt Huffer, Warsaw, reported finding a lost Orange Next Intruder bicycle to Warsaw Police Department.
- Aug. 14, 9:14 a.m., Madeline Call, Warsaw, reported theft from a vehicle.
- Aug. 14, 7:37 a.m., Charles Lynch, Warsaw, reporting finding a lost purse to Warsaw Police.
- Aug. 14, 12:43 p.m, A man reported seeing a theft from a vehicle at Zimmer Corporation.
- Aug. 14, 11:48 a.m., Tiffany Hall, Warsaw, reported the theft of her cell phone.
- Aug. 13, 10:05 a.m., Andrew Sekora, Warsaw, reported theft of a vehicle at Lakeland Villa Apartment Complex.
- Aug. 13, 4:45 p.m. Timothy Carter, Syracuse, caused damage to Key West Car Wash, when he drove into the an automatated brush and in doing so, damaged the machine.
- Aug. 13, 4:57 p.m. Marissa Kennedy, Warsaw, was arrested for shoplifting, after taking five compact discs from Super Walmart without paying for them.
- Aug 10, 7:29 a.m., Rodolfo Marzan, Warsaw, reported mischief in the form of a broken car window.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigating the following accidents:
- Thursday, Aug. 16, 5:29 p.m. SR 15 South and E Market St, Warsaw. Drivers: Albert Diemert III, 44, 3080 Steinacker Rd, Howell, Mich.; and Elizabeth Goble, 27, 2956 East Joshua Dr., Warsaw. Diemert was making a right turn when Goble sideswiped his semi trailor. Damages up to $10,000.
- Thursday, Aug. 16, 3:49 p.m. 2211 Center St., Warsaw. Drivers: Otavio Filho, 34, Rio de Janeiro; and Donald Miller, 61, 103 Graceland Ave., Claypool. Filho, while backing out, backed into Miller. Damages up to $2,500.
- Wednesday, Aug. 15, 3:09 p.m. 1 Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Rico Cervantes, 17, 705 Southside Dr., Warsaw; Kaley Simpson, 17, 199 East 200 North, Warsaw. Cervantes, after being waved on at a stop sign in his vehicle, mistakenly pulled out before Simpson, who then collided with his vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
- Tuesday, Aug. 14, 12:43 p.m. 2101 East Center St., Warsaw. Drivers: Telesforo Garcia, 74, 2218 South Stonebridge Rd.; and Rhonda Hardy, 49, 1479 North 520 West. Garcia, backed into Hardy, who was at a stop sign. Damages up to $2,500.
- Tuesday, Aug. 14, 7:55 a.m. US 30 West.Drivers: Briana Marshall, 23, 802 State St. Lot 52, Warsaw; Nicholas Porto, 19, 12907 Hialeah Path, Apple Valley, MN; Russ Raymer Jr., 25, 6908 Currwood Dr., Fort Wayne. Marshall rear-ended Porto. He was then pushed into Russ’ vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
- Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2:45 p.m. SR 15 North and 350 North Rd. Drivers: Dustin Staples, 19, 3837 South 925 West 57, Larwill IN; and Brandon Keele, 34, 627 South Lake St., Warsaw. Staples went through the interection and collided with Keele’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
- Monday, Aug. 13, 12:09 p.m. Center St. and Lincoln St. Drivers: Ellen Wolff, 55, 3458 West John Rd. Warsaw; and Michael Trueblood, 54, 1515 Market St., Warsaw. Wolff drove into Trueblood, rear-ending him. Damages up to $5,000.
- Saturday, Aug. 11, 11:54 a.m. SR 15 South and Prairie St. Drivers: Israel Warren, 20, 219 Eisenhower Pkwy., Warsaw; Rose Ousley, 51, 8764 South 425 West, Silver Lake; and Holly Swoverland, 42, P.O. Box 23, Warsaw. Warren rear-ended Ousley, pushing her into Swoverland. Damages up to $5,000.
