Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Launches Locally
Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association announces the launch of the new HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region at a Sept. 20 kick-off event. Registration is open for the event to be held at Grace College Orthopaedic Capital Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20.
A leadership team of about 15 professional women in the region joined to form HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region for professional women in Northeast Indiana. “HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region was formed in the same spirit as the national organization was formed in 1977. At that time, five professional women began meeting informally to exchange industry and career information and resources. Soon after, the group formally became HBA, a non-profit organization,” states Tammy Allen, director of marketing, OrthoWorx, and director-at-large, HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region. “Professional women have expressed a need for an organization like this in Northeast Indiana, and we are excited about bringing this to the women of our region.”
HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region’s focus is personal engagement for professional advantage to help further the advancement and impact of women in healthcare. HBA offers unparalleled depth and breadth of programs for its members to enhance their careers and develop leadership skills that inspire them to advance and chart the direction of their careers.
Join professional women of the region on Sept. 20, at the OCC to hear about career development opportunities. Network with professional women, learn about HBA Indiana- Warsaw Region’s 2013 programs/events featuring dynamic speakers, workshops and our one-of-a-kind regional mentoring program and meet the HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region Leadership Team.
Door prizes, donated by local companies, will be awarded throughout the event.
“We look forward to welcoming existing and potential members from Northeast Indiana. HBA is open to all professional women interested in developing their careers, learning more about the life sciences industry, networking and mentoring. It’s open to men as well,” states Allen.
Through the support of event sponsors, HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region is able to offer this opportunity at no cost to attendees. Registration is required.
HBA Indiana – Warsaw Region recognizes and thanks the following event sponsors: OrthoWorx, Grace College Orthopaedic Regulatory & Clinical Affairs Program, Karen Geswein Photography and Miles Corporation UV Printing Professionals.
