NWPL offers 13 databases that provide access to information ranging from local to all over the world.
The newest database is A to Z the World, a comprehensive database that contains just about anything you would want to know about almost every country in the world. Information on history, culture, business, education, infrastructure, healthcare, language, human rights, food, security and many other categories can be found.
It’s a great tool for the academic, business professional, researcher and traveler, as well as those who are just interested in learning about other countries. A to Z the World can be accessed at the NWPL from one of the public computers or via the website from your home computer. Simply go to www.nweb.lib.in.us, click on the Research Tools tab, then click the A to Z the World link. You will need your library card number to log in.
The NWPL’s website also provides access to A to Z USA for information on every state in the union; A to Z World Travel for travel information to cities throughout the world; Reference USA for business and residential information; Inspire, a portal to all kinds of subjects provided free by the Indiana State Library to all Indiana residents; Heritage Quest, a national genealogy database, and four local cemetery and obituary databases.
In addition, the Local History and Genealogy Center offers free access at the NWPL to the Ancestory.com and Genealogy Bank databases.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
