UPDATE: Emergency Crews Respond To Crash
Warsaw Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS responded to a personal injury accident on Fox Farm Road, west of Warsaw, late Monday night.
The call came in at approximately 11:05 p.m. and it was reported that heavy flooding was present in the 1600 block of the road where the crash occured.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department crash report, Paul J. Weingart, 21, of Warsaw, was northbound on Fox Farm Road when he drove up on two individuals walking along the edge of the road. Weingart told police he swerved to go around the pedestrians, which caused his vehicle to leave the west edge of the road.
Weingart’s vehicle struck a utility pole and a speed limit sign. A passenger in the back seat of his car, 18-year-old Sara George of Warsaw, was taken to the hospital for complaint of hip pain.
Keith and Cara Vuittonet were walking along the road and also told police it appeared Weingart swerved to go around them and lost control of the vehicle.
Damages were estimated at up to $5,000.
