Frontier Expanding Broadband Access
Frontier Communications Corporation is already the largest provider of communications services focused on rural America, and today it announced it has signed an agreement to expand its broadband footprint in Indiana.
Frontier signed a deal with Maryland-based Hughes Network Systems LLC to deliver additional broadband satellite networks and services to rural Indiana.
rontier will distribute satellite-based broadband services, branded Frontier Broadband, that will deliver dramatically increased speed and capacity to several hundred thousand households and small businesses within markets previously unserved or underserved by all broadband providers, including cable. It will be billed along with other Frontier services on the customer’s monthly bill and eligible for bundle discounts.
Frontier Broadband products are owned and managed by Frontier Communications and supported by highly-trained, 100 percent U.S.-based local installation, customer service and support teams. Greg Stephens, sr. vice president Indiana, stated, “We are very excited to offer this new, high-performance broadband Internet service to unserved rural areas. It will provide an excellent level of service not previously available and will enhance the quality of life of our customers.”
