The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department has planned several events for the next week and is seeking vendors for future festivals.
Cultural Vendors Sought for Culture Fest on September 22
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will host Culture Fest, a festival to explore and celebrate a variety of cultures, on Saturday, September 22 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m in Central Park. Cultural vendors and artists are invited to participate in the event through vendor space. Activity booths, which add an interactive element to the event, are $10.00 each. Not-for-profit booths are $25.00 each. For-profit booths for Kosciusko County residents are $45.00 each. The festival will host a variety of activities including cultural dance and music performances, food, children’s activities, and more. Free Water Play Day in Central Park August 9
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will host a free Water Play Day in Central Park on Thursday, August 9, for kids ages 6-12. Anyone wanting to participate can meet at the West Picnic Shelter in Central Park. Participants should dress to get wet. Parents are not required to participate but need to remain in the park area during the program. Warsaw Parks and Recreation staff will lead the kids in fun water games and activities to celebrate the end of summer. For more information, call (574) 372-9554 or email [email protected].
Free Canoeing to be Offered August 7
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will offer free community canoeing on Tuesday, August 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Center Lake. Canoes will launch behind the Center Lake Pavilion. All ages are welcome to canoe, but children under 16 years old must have an adult in the canoe. All equipment will be provided for participants. Registration is not required.
