UPDATE: Info Sought on Missing Teen
A local grandmother is asking for the public’s help in locating her missing 14-year-old granddaughter.
Ruby Snyder tells StaceyPageOnline.com that her granddaughter, Jordan Hughes, was given permission on Sunday to go to Center Lake Park at about 7:15 p.m. It was the last time she has been seen.
Snyder says local police have been contacted and are treating this as a runaway case because Jordan twice before ran away. However, her grandmother insists she was gone no more than an hour each of those times and it has now been over 24 hours and they have heard nothing from Jordan or her friends.
Snyder has asked that we publish her granddaughter’s picture in hopes that someone will recognize her and bring her home. “We have asked about an Amber Alert and was informed that there would be none because local police do not believe she is in danger, (but) no one can be sure that she isn’t,” Snyder says.
Since there have been two reported cases of attempted abductions in the county in the last month, StaceyPageOnline.com has offered to assist the family in publishing the girl’s photo.
If you have any information on Jordan’s whereabouts, please contact the Warsaw Police Department 574-372-9515 or the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department at 574-267-5667.
