Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Tuesday, July 24, 1:30 a.m. Dakoda Gene Landis of Warsaw was arrested on an active warrant.
- Monday, July 23, 8:46 p.m. Jordan Scott of East Main Street, Warsaw, reported criminal mischief to his vehicle.
- Monday, July 23, 7:14 p.m. A man reported his wallet was stolen from his pants pocket while he was at McDonald’s at Center Street. Over $100 in $1 bills were stolen.
- Monday, July 23, 6:58 p.m. Monty Lackey of Warsaw reported the theft of prescription medication.
- Monday, July 23, 6:07 p.m. Daniel Ryan of Warsaw reported the theft of a rocking chair from his porch.
- Monday, 4:45 p.m. Adam Pickering of Fort Wayne was arrested at a location in the 2100 block of East Fort Wayne Street on outstanding warrants.
- Monday, July 23, 1:58 p.m. Lassus gas station, North Parker Street, Warsaw, reported the theft of cash by a store employee.
- Monday, July 23, 9:36 a.m. Brittany Castro of Warsaw reported the theft of cash and a checkbook.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
- Monday, July 23, 5:05 p.m. Argonne Road and Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michacla M. East, 19, 2329 E. Stone St., Albion; and Tyler Reinholt, 28, 1703 Park Ave., Winona Lake. Reinholt was making a wide right turn into a parking lot when East rear-ended his vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Monday, July 23, 9:56 p.m. SR 15 North, Warsaw. Driver: Jack A. Bocook, 27, 398 W. 800 S., Claypool. Witnesses say Bocook turn from a parking lot southbound on SR 15 and drive erratically. He then did a U-turn in the road and headed north on SR 15 when he struck a curb causing the vehicle to roll over. Initially Bocook said a passenger in his vehicle jumped out and fled the scene, but it was determined Bocook was the only person in the car. He was cited for refusing to submit to chemical testing. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment and a blood draw. Damages: up to $25,000
