SR 19 Getting Traffic Pattern Change
FULTON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that the traffic pattern will change at SR 19 and CR 100 North to an All-way Stop during the week of July 23. The following signage will be placed at all the approaches of the intersection: “Stop” signs, stop bars and “Stop Sign Ahead” signs by early next week weather permitting.
After the signs are in place, all traffic on all approaches shall stop before entering the intersection of SR 19 and CR 100 North. The change in traffic controls is a result of a traffic study completed by INDOT that reviewed the traffic patterns, as well as the crash history at the intersection.
Motorists should be aware of the traffic change and drive with caution at this intersection.
This traffic pattern change is part of the resurfacing contract on SR 19, from 0.36 mile south of SR 14 to SR 2 (from Akron to Mentone.) Other work yet to be complete includes paving driveway approaches, striping and placement of stone on shoulders. The project will be complete by early fall.
E&B Paving was awarded the contract for the low bid of $2.3 million.
