A year or so ago, a decision was made to go from the number of resources read to pages read. This has made it easier for the busy person to be a part of Warsaw Library’s SRP. Not only are books eligible, but audiobooks and eBooks. This has opened a whole new avenue for those wanting to participate but felt their lifestyle didn’t allow for it. The adult segment, Between the Covers, continues until July 31. There is still time to register.
An exciting week has been planned for the week of July 15-21. Children will have the chance to attend Stories in the Park at 11 a.m. Monday a, participate in Drop In Crafts at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, watch the Cat in the Hat Play at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Thursday (Registration needed), use their creative imaginations in the Building with Legos program at 11 a.m. Friday, and be amazed at the Beauty and the Beast puppet show at 1 p.m. Saturday (Registration needed).
Adults will be able to attend a Chinese Mandarin language class (registration needed) at 6:30 p.m. Monday or the Writer’s Club held at the same time, learn how to crochet or sharpen their crochet skills on 11:45 a.m. or 6 p.m. Tuesday, discover how to use Windows 7 (registration needed) at 1 p.m. Wednesday and have lots of fun during Game Night at 6 p.m. Thursday.
There are several teen events as well during this week. Teens can have a fun time gaming, watching movies, and enjoying free snacks during the Drop in Zone from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Afterward, they can join in the Halo Tournament (registration needed) from 2 to 6 p.m.
