He was born to Chris and Margee (Barry ) Owens on Jan. 3, 1980, in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. Lewis Salvage of Warsaw employed him since 2004 as a customer service representative. Shaun was a faithful Red Cross Blood Donor taking great pride in helping assist the mission of the Red Cross.
Shaun is survived by his mother: Margee (and companion Harry Marshall) Owens-Patka, Warsaw; his father: Chris (Lisa) Owens, Osceola, Ind.; brothers: Jon Owens, Crawfordsville, Ind.; and Evan Owens of Pierceton, Ind; companion: Audrey Mazura, South Whitley, Ind; a half brother: Christian Patka; and half sisters: Monkia and Margot Patka, all of Austria; maternal grandmother: Opal Niver, South Bend, Ind.; paternal grandparents: Tom Owens, South Bend; Marilou Moore, Moon Township, Pa.; and Leberta Douglas, Grants, N.M.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother: Brian; and a maternal grandfather: David Niver.
Calling will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church. Interment services will be private.
