Randy Miner

Randy Miner, 58, of Warsaw, Ind., died at 1:49 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born Sept. 4, 1953, to Jim and Beth Miner. On March 6, 1999, he married Nancy Dye who survives.

He retired from Zimmer in 2011. He and his wife own Wood-N-Stuff, where he created many unique furniture and home décor pieces.  He loved to garden and spent many hours outdoors with his dog Mercy. Randy was also a very talented musician. He played in several bands over the years.  He was most known for his many sound effects and his great sense of humor.  He loved to make people laugh!  He attended Warsaw Community Church and he loved the Lord.  In Randy’s younger years he enjoyed running, biking and weight lifting.

Mr. Miner is survived by his wife: Nancy Miner, Warsaw; his daughters: Tohnya Miner (fiancé Brandon Rice), and Jana (Rick) Still, all of Warsaw; stepdaughters: Lyz (Justin) Weaver and Maggie (Billy) Gayton; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his parents: Jim and Beth Miner; sisters: Patty Miner and Suzannah Kuhn; and nieces and nephews.Calling will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.  Services will be held Monday, July 9, at the funeral home with pastors Jeff Pfiefer and Denny Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, IN.

The Miner family is requesting that the memorial contribution be made to Rudy’s Dog Park C/O Lake City Animal Clinic 819 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, IN 46580.
