Incidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Monday, July 2, 8:37 a.m. Roby Weed of Warsaw reported someone used his bank account information to place money on someone’s prison account.
- Monday, July 2, 9:35 p.m. Debra Blacklaw of Etna Green reported the theft of a Fed-Ex package from his house.
- Monday, July 2, 12:10 p.m. Police were called to a death investigation. A 37-year-old woman was found deceased. Her husband said she had some medical issues.
- Friday, June 29, 8:15 p.m. John Cybulski of Goshen reported a theft from an outbuilding.
- Friday, June 29, 8:12 p.m. Amy Heckman of Warsaw reported paperwork from a car purchase had been forged.
- Friday, June 29, 7:19 a.m. A traffic stop was made and the driver was determined to have a suspended license.
- Friday, June 29, 4:30 p.m. Jeff Small of Warsaw reported a metal planter blew into his car and damaged it during the storm.
- Friday, June 29. Debra Tillman, Syracuse, reported she had joined a business but decided after a few days not to do business and believes she was charged more than the amount she was told.
- Thursday, June 28, 9:40 a.m. Paul Yoder of Etna Green reported damage to his corn field.
- Wednesday, June 27, 12:59 p.m. Talitha Cleveland of Warsaw reported a crash occurred on property private.
- Wednesday, June 27, 2:46 p.m. Dawn Clabaugh of Etna Green reported a restraining order violation.

- Monday, July 2, 11:47 a.m. Country Club Road and Old Ditch Road, Warsaw. Driver: Allyn S. Ahuilar, 17, 2737 Ivywood Dr., Warsaw. Driver pulled into the path of another vehicle that was obstructed by a bush. When she attempted to accelerate to avoid a collision, she lost control and drove through a fence. Damages: up to $2,500. Fence owned by Darrell Hicks, 2111 S. 75 E., Warsaw.
- Monday, July 2, 10:25 p.m. CR 1000 West, Silver Lake. Driver: Seth J. Fincher, 18, 204 S. Virgil St., Akron. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
- Monday, July 2, 10:46 p.m. Old Rd. 30, Warsaw. Driver: Sue E. Woodcock, 59, 15 EMS B74 Ln., Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, June 27, 5:26 a.m. U.S. 30 West and CR 200 North, Warsaw. Drivers: Bryan L. Hampshire, 33, 811 Sophie Ln., Warsaw, and William S. Pietrzak, 56, 1691 S. Meadow Rd., Warsaw. Hampshire attempted to turn from CR 200 North onto U.S. 30 and collided with Pietrzak’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
