Lucille F. Thompson
Lucille F. Thompson, 91, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Kosciusko County to Elmer E. and Hester E. Slaymaker. She married Ernest Thompson on July 4, 1992, in Warsaw.
A 1938 graduate of Pierceton High School, Lucille was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. She was a bookkeeper for Levin and Sons Salvage in Warsaw and retired in 1983. She was a member of North Webster Church of God, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband: Ernest Thompson, Warsaw; two daughters: Donna (John) Wiles, Warsaw; and Twylla Tolley, Cincinnati, Ohio; a son: Charles (Norma) Fawley, Warsaw; three sisters: Norma Bodkin, Warsaw; Pearl Halsey, Cromwell, Ind.; Vivian Murphy, Pierceton, Ind.; four grandchildren: Tamara (Ed) Boggs, Warsaw; Cheryl (Mike) Lennon, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Bobbie (Kathy) Fawley, Mandoline, Ill.; Jennifer Fawley, Warsaw; and seven great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Matthew, Thomas, Nicholas, Ian, Charles and Stephen.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Herschel Foreman.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday is the funeral home with Pastor Josh Harding, Community Bible Church, Warsaw. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
