Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallamer says NIPSCO has been working around the clock to restore electricity and now expect everyone to be back online by this afternoon. A KREMC news release says they expect all electricity to be restored by this evening.
Until 5 p.m. today, the city of Warsaw is operating a cooling station at the Pete Thorn Center, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw. NIPSCO is also there serving water, ice and food to those affected by the power outages. Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer is asking everyone to spread the word about the cooling station as today’s high temperatures can be dangerous and even deadly, especially to children and the elderly.

Those are: Kosciusko, Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, DeKalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, LaPorte, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Wabash, Wells, White and Whitley.
Those watches are slowly turning to warnings in some areas. Stay tuned to weather radios for continued weather updates.
