StaceyPageOnline.com has received several reports of a serious accident at New Paris Speedway, CR 46, late Saturday night.

According to witnesses, a crash in the front stretch resulted in a lot of debris thrown into the crowd, which reportedly injured several spectators. One person claims a baby was taken from the scene in critical condition and another reported a male spectator allegedly suffered a broken leg. Those reports, however, are unconfirmed and officials have still not released any details of the event.

Ambulances from New Paris, Syracuse and Goshen were called to the scene.

Elkhart County authorities have not released any information about the incident but there were a few postings on the New Paris Speedway Facebook page that indicated spectators were looking for more information and asking for prayers for everyone who was hurt.
