Couple Recognized For Commitment To Exchange Student
The couple were among 22 International Exchange Coordinators who were formally recognized for exceptional performance exceeding expectations. The weekend, sponsored by the EF Foundation, the leader in high school exchange, was a celebration of this year’s accomplishments. The Lukas’s and their field staff associates placed nearly 3,000 exchange students from 25 countries with host families across the U.S.
As IECs, they worked with EF Foundation’s full-time staff to match international high school exchange students with local host families; enrolling them in high school; and providing students, schools and host families with ongoing guidance and support throughout the year-long exchange
experience.
“It was so exciting for our family to go to Disney World,” said Denna. “And to receive an award on top of it made the weekend really memorable. It was a great opportunity to meet up with our colleagues from across the country and celebrate another great year of exchange.”
EF Foundation is currently looking for families to open their homes to an exchange student for the 2012-13 school year. For more information on the program, contact Denna Lukas at (574) 529-5610 or [email protected].
