Light Pollution Program At WCPL
Twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder where you are. Light pollution keeps us from seeing the sky. What are the effects of light pollution on the environment, humans, etc? Can we reduce light pollution? What are dark-sky preserves?
All of these questions and more will be answered by Mike Stephan at Warsaw Community Public Library at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30. Mr. Stephan is a member of the Warsaw Astronomical Society and Executive Director of Potawatomi Wildlife Park which is Indiana’s First Dark-Sky Preserve. “The Planet That Never Sleeps” tells us that we have a loss of night.
This free program is open to everyone. Please call WCPL at 574-267-6011 or go to the WCPL website www.warsawlibrary.org to register.
