Recent dry conditions have kept fire crews all over the county busy for the last two weeks. Today, county officials have issued the ban, which will remain in effect until further notice.
The current Kosciusko County Burn Ban prohibits the use of personal fireworks, with the exception of organized fireworks displays when the local fire department is on site.
Questions regarding the ban should be directed to Kosciusko County Emergency Management at 574-371-2602.
According to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, the burn ban also includes the following counties: Carroll, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Knox, LaGrange, Marshall, Noble, Steuben, St. Joseph, Vigo and Wabash.
