Fishing Contest Winners
The Grace College Bass Fishing Club hosted 15 teams for its inaugural tournament during the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival on Winona Lake on June 10.
Grace student, Christopher Valentine, coordinated the event with Grace professor, Dr. Nate Bosch. Christopher Valentine is also the President of the Grace College Bass Fishing Club which was established on campus this past school year. Rick Rogers and his son, R.J. Rogers, from the Fulton County Bassmasters Club helped with the registration and weigh-in.
This year’s winners were Jason Patterson and Ryan Carroll, first place with 14.39 pounds; George White, second place with 12.63 pounds; Rick Rogers and R.J. Rogers, third place with 11.06 pounds. Each of these winners boated the 5 bass limit. Jason Patterson also won “Big Bass” of the tournament at 3.66 pounds.
All the fish caught during the tournament were released back into Winona Lake following the weigh-in.
