Milford Library News
Events for all ages:
Animals awake at night! Whoooo do you think they are? Come to the Milford Community Building on June 27 and join your friends for our program with Mark’s Ark, who will bring nocturnal animals for all to touch and see. The program will begin at 2 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
Teens:
Thriller practice for Teens will take place in the library meeting room every Thursday at 2 p.m. now through July 12. Come learn the dance and be in the library video of “Thriller.”
Preschool Story Time:
Evening preschool story time with Miss Tina will feature books and stories with the theme, “Don’t be afraid of the dark.” Be there at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28. Miss Tina will read the Caldecott Award winning book, “The House in the Night,” by Susan Marie Swanson and “What’s That Noise?” by Michelle Edwards and Phyllis Root. After listening to these great stories, make a craft and enjoy a snack.
Friday Preschool Story Time with Miss Carol will be at 11 a.m. June 29 in the library meeting room. Come join Miss Carol as she reads stories about night time. Her story time will include a “sand” craft. Sign up today!
Afternoon Knitting Club:
Miss HelenAnn welcomes you to join the afternoon knitters on June 29 at 1:30 pm in the meeting room. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon knitting and socializing as you work on your latest project. Novice, don’t be shy. There are experienced knitters there to help with any questions you have.
Family Event:
Ever taken the family to a Drive-In Movie? On June 29 at 9:30 pm (dusk), in the library parking lot, we will show a movie on the big screen. Bring your chairs, blankets to sit on, and bug spray! Water and popcorn will be available for a donation to the library’s summer reading fund. The movie will be a newly released film, rated PG, so everyone can enjoy the movie outside; and the best part is, admission is FREE!
The Milford Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, for the holiday. Enjoy this day with friends and family. The library will re-open at 10 a.m. on July 5th.
