Incidents
The following incidents have been investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department:
- Tuesday, June 12, 1:33 a.m. An officer responded to Slater’s Fruit Market, Pierceton, where a business burglary alarm sounded. The officer found forced entry to a door.
- Sunday, June 10, 10 a.m. Fabiola Holsclaw of Warsaw reported a driver’s side window had been broken out on her vehicle. A suspect was named.
- Saturday, June 9, 6:39 p.m. An employee of the Department of Child Services reported a child was being treated in Kosciusko Community Hospital for a skull fracture and transferred to Lutheran Hospital. The fracture occurred in the child’s home in the 3500 block of West CR 100 North, Warsaw.
- Friday, June 8. Billy Yarnell of Silver Lake reported that 125 square bales and 87 round bales of hay had been stolen from a barn. The theft apparently occurred over the last month.
- Tuesday, May 29. Harold Debolt of Syracuse reported a front window of his home had been shot out sometime during the overnight of May 26. It appeared the damage was from a BB or pellet gun.

- Wednesday, June 6, 10:23 p.m. SR 25 West and Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Dustin R. Miller, 31, 3008 Widaman St., Winona Lake. Miller missed a turn from SR 25 onto Ferguson Road and struck a street sign and steel post. Damages up to $5,000
- Wednesday, June 6, 7:18 a.m. SR 19 North and CR 1350 North, Nappanee. Drivers: Lester R. Mast, 86, 12925 N. 850 W., Nappanee; and Larry L. Herschberger, 23, 529 Dogwood Dr., Arthur, Ill. Both drivers entered into the intersection at the same time and collided. Damages up to $10,000
- Sunday, June 3, 7:30 a.m. North Creekbend Lane, Milford. Driver: Scott A. Brown, 49, 12464 Creekbend Ln., Milford. Brown backed into a vehicle parked in his driveway. Damages up to $10,000.
