With Summer Reading Club in full swing, there are lots of things going on at the Milford Public Library. Make sure to come and visit, check out some books and movies, and take in an activity or two.
If you haven’t signed up for Summer Reading Club yet, there’s still time. Sign up and win great prizes. Teens who sign up and read five hours by July 16 can earn a chance to win a Kindle.
Tuesday, June 19
Teen Tuesdays – 2 p.m. For teens going in to sixth through 12th grades. Make a glow in the dark “Universe in a jar” to take home and keep your room from darkness. Craft, food, and fun with friends. Sign up June 11 at the circulation desk, upstairs.
Wednesday, June 20
Food and Fun Dream Day – 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., or 2:30 p.m. For all ages. Three tables, three activities, unlimited fun! Make a dream catcher, a god’s eye, and a delicious snack. Sign up at the children’s desk.
Thursday, June 21
Teen Zombie practice – 2 p.m. Join Thursday afternoons as often as you can to learn the Thrilller dance and practice for the video.
Storytime with Miss Tina – 7 p.m. Listen to stories about nocturnal animals including Bats at the Library, make a bat finger puppet, and have a snack.
Friday, June 22
Storytime with guest storyteller, Miss Mim. – 11 a.m. Mim Eberly is a retired second-grade teacher who has been working at the Milford Public Library for 7 years. She loves reading to children and is amazing to listen to! Enjoy stories about nocturnal animals, a craft, and a snack.
