Suspect Sought In Unusual Crash
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department officers are looking for the man who apparently sideswiped several vehicles outside of a bar before crashing his own vehicle nearby.
The accident was reported at 2 a.m. Saturday when the driver of a 1993 Honda Civic reportedly struck several vehicles in the parking lot of Danny’s Sports Bar at the Barbee Hotel, continued northeast on Barbee Road when he then struck a guard rail on the bridge by the Barbee Landing which caused his vehicle to roll over and slide into another vehicle.
A witness at the scene told the driver to lay still until help arrived, but the driver allegedly stood up and ran northeast toward Big Barbee Lake.
As of this time, police have not yet located the driver. The vehicle involved in the incident is registered to Kiyle Wagner of EMS B6 Lane, Leesburg.
Pending the investigation it is still unclear exactly how many vehicles were damaged, but a police report by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department indicates damages in the crash were estimated at up to $10,000.
