Mark D. Oswalt
Mark D. Oswalt, 50 of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 10 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2012, in his residence surrounded by his family.
On April 9, 1962, Mark was born in Warsaw, Ind., to Larry and Asenath (Shepherd) Oswalt. He married Debbie Lynn Allen on Oct. 21, 1998, in Warsaw.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he worked at Commercial Structure in Nappanee, Ind., for 9 years, Ameri-Kan in Warsaw as a welder and painter for 13 years.
He loved to fish, hunt and raise different kinds of animals, such as pheasants, Boxer dogs, rabbits, emus, a talking parrot, hedgehog and horse. He also loved gardening.
Mark is survived by his wife: Debbie Lynn Oswalt, Pierceton; his mother and step-father: Asenath and Brent Julian, Warsaw; his father and step-mother: Larry and Pauline Oswalt, Hoffman Lake; three sons,:Jeffery J. (Heather) Oswalt, Warsaw; Jeramy Oswalt (and friend Teresa Reese), Toledo, Ohio; and Jason Oswalt, Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter: Stephanie (Korey) Newton, Warsaw; step-daughter: Tamara Sexton(and friend Chris Sabin), Cromwell; step-son: Scott (Lisa) Blevins, Mentone; sister: Lori (Tracy) Quier, Beaver Dam Lake; brother: Stephen (Kathy) Oswalt, Tippecanoe; three step-brothers: Brian (Tracy) Julian, Claypool; Rick (Tammy) Schuh, Warsaw; and Michael (Charlotte) Schuh, Warsaw; a step-sister: Wanda (Rex) Parrett, Larwill; 13 grandchildren and four step- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Bob Conelley officiating. Burial will be at Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Ind.
