Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will host a free Kids Fishing Derby from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, at Municipal Park near Center Lake Beach.

Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and more for various age groups. Children ages 3 years to 16 years old are invited to participate.  Each participant must bring their own pole and bait.  All fishing will be catch-and-release.

The first 100 kids registered will receive a free goody bag.

Participants may pre-register at the Pete Thorn Center, 800 N. Park Ave., or at the Central Park Office, 117 E. Canal St., until 4 p.m. Friday. Registration is also welcome the morning of the event.
